Expert Lecture On Electric Traction & Control

A seminar on Electrical Traction & control was arranged by Prof. Niyati P. Desai on 21/07/2017 for all Electrical Engineering department students. The lecture was started at 3:00 P.M. at Central Seminar Hall, in which the basics of Electric traction was delivered. Total 180 students and 10 staff members attended this lecture.

The lecture was arranged and aimed to make aware the students from Electric Traction. Welcome address of this program was given by Mr. Kaushalesh Bodara (2nd year Electrical Student, SSASIT, Surat).

The main aim behind arranging this seminar was to make students familiar about electric traction and control mechanism used in railway engine. Mr. C. J. Bhaidasna has taught about layout plan of Indian western railway, history of Indian railway, construction of railway engine, component of control mechanism, 25Kv power line, conversion process of 2 phase to 3 phase power supply for pentagram component, circuit breaker, difference between vacuum type breaking and air breaking system, different types of sign language used by railway employer. It was a splendid presentation by an expert. Students found very interesting and give positive response towards the lecture.
